I am an Assistant Professor at the Unit for Economic History at the University of Gothenburg.
My research interests fall at the crossroad between Economic History and Development Economics. On the one hand, my research focuses on the impact of institutions (e.g., slavery and colonialism) on inequality and development in the Global South. On the other hand, I am interested in the effects of trade policy at different societal levels, macro- and micro-.
My research relies on a multi-disciplinary, quantitative approach applied to archival sources.
My work has been published, amongst others, in Explorations in Economic History, The Economic History Review, European Economic History Review, Cliometrica, Social Science History.
All enquiries concerning collaborations and supervision are welcome.
